Quad
The Quad uses four progressively different radii to create a profile with its strongest emphasis on stability, while maintaining strong acceleration, speed and deceleration. The result is a more supported, powerful feel without giving up the ability to transition between different skating movements.
I especially like the Quad for centers, defensemen and players who cover a lot of ice. The longer sections help support an efficient stride and stability, while the smaller front sections keep the blade from feeling like a long single-radius profile. Bauer/ProSharp describes the Quad concept around a more centrally balanced, powerful skating stride.
Elite NHL players including Matty Beniers and John Tavares have skated on Quad setups, and Quad Zero has been extensively tested at the professional level.
Profile Emphasis: Acceleration 4/5 · Deceleration 4/5 · Agility 3/5 · Speed 4/5 · Stability 5/5
Sizing and profile: Quad XS — 6′–8′–11′–12′, recommended for 246–254 mm holders. Quad Zero — 6′–9′–11′–13′, recommended for 263–272 mm. Quad 1 — 6′–9′–12′–15′, recommended for 280–288 mm. Your Quad XS option also works on smaller sizes.
The Quad family also incorporates forward pitch into the profile, with the amount varying by Quad size.
